The Masoala Peninsula has the largest remaining lowland forest on Madagascar. From Maroantsetra we made a heavy hike, first along the coast, and then partly at almost impassable paths, we crossed tens of streams per day, southward. There was a lot to see, several chameleons, geckos, the tomato frog etc. By boat we returned to Maroansetra.
