The smooth green snake you will find in Canada, the USA and Mexico. You also have the rough green snake (opheodrys aestivus). The green snake you find mostly in humid aereas (forests) close to water. He is an excellent swimmer. He gets 75 to 90 cm in lenght and maximum 1 cm thick. It is a quite active snake and active hunter. He only eat insects.
